Cost-Effective Power Supplies
For Mission-Critical Applications
Xeal’s New Redundant Server Power Supplies Include Power Protection Features & Alarm Capabilities

When you need a power supply, chances are Xeal has it or can make it for you, whether it’s 1U to 9U, 100 watts to 2,000 watts, switching or redundancy.
Xeal is part of iStarUSA, which began 13 years ago focused on selling mini-redundant power supplies, says Luke Yang, product manager at iStarUSA. Over the years, the product line expanded and iStarUSA began manufacturing its own products.

Variety Of Options

Xeal was started as a division of iStarUSA Group that sold custom power supplies, including ones for 2U, 3U, and 4U rackmount cases. Today, Xeal focuses on industrial server redundant power supplies, Yang says, offering a variety of PSUs to fit in the most popular 1U to 4U form factors but also providing options for taller server chassis in the 5U to 9U range.
Its line of 80 Plus switching power supplies, for example, support the latest components while also helping to save money on power and cooling. Xeal PSUs also are certified to pass environmental and

safety requirements from the CE, FCC, and TUV.

Reliable Components

The latest Xeal redundant power supply series uses Japanese-made industrial components that are tested to be fully operational even at 40 degrees Celsius to ensure reliable power to mission-critical systems, Yang says.

The IS-1800RH (pictured, left) is a built-to-order 1800w redundant power supply, the IS-460R2UP (middle picture) offers 460 watts in a 2U form factor, and the IS-1000R3NP (at right) provides 1,000 watts in a 4U chassis.

All the new redundant server power supplies are equipped with top-of-line thermal-controlled fans to ensure proper heat ventilation. “With this build, the MTBF is greater than 100,000 hours, and we

are proud to offer a five-year warranty on our IS-redundant power supply series,” he says.

Xeal redundant power supplies are reliable and cost-effective with a five-year warranty. The power supplies have up to 75% efficiency rating at full load and include electrical protection such as over power, over voltage, over current, and short circuit protections, Yang says, plus temperature control fans, hotswappable power modules, and load-sharing functions.

Power failure alarm and signals are equipped to notify administrators of any anomalies, Yang says, so you can rest assured your critical systems are operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week. “These protections are essential in ensuring zero downtime for mission-critical system integrations.”

Attentive Product Managers

Xeal PSUs are designed with great attention to detail. “Customers like doing business with us because we value our relationships and because we are a one-stop solution that is both broad and deep,” Yang says, adding that Xeal’s solutions are broad because of the wide range of products it carries, and its solutions are deep because of its strong support at all stages from the factory to the customer.
“Xeal’s PSUs have stood the test of time and have proven to be reliable and cost-effective power supplies for mission-critical applications.”
